Demo: 1981 Inventions DRV

The 1981 Inventions DRV is a Rat, but not really a Rat. By now you probably know that Matt Hoopes from Reliant K worked with Bondi Effects to create this absolute monster of a distortion pedal. Here’s a little more about it…

One thing about Rat pedals is that their lower gain settings kind of suck. In the DRV, they don’t. That’s because there are two circuits in this pedal, one a distortion and one a pre-amp boost.

Does this pedal rip when the drive is cranked? Hell yes. Does it also add amazing quality when the drive is all the way down? It shore do.

There isn’t a ton to say about this pedal. It’s just straight-up really good. A true 3-knob wonder. Seriously, just listen to the demo. I don’t yap at all in the demo. Just pull my top Tad Kubler impression.

Also, mine is pink. It matches my TunaTone (which is the guitar I played for this demo). And my favorite boots.
