Demo: MÉTÉORE™ by Caroline Effects Company

MÉTÉORE™ is a lo-fi digital spring reverb from Caroline Guitar Company. And it has something special up its sleeve.

First things first, bypass is the left switch. The switch on the right is HAVOC. Holding it down when the pedal is on creates swells of varying levels of intensity.

It has four controls:

  • TOP LEFT: Level
  • TOP RIGHT: Attack
  • BOTTOM LEFT: Regen
  • BOTTOM RIGHT: Size

It also has a dark/bright toggle. The MÉTÉORE™ has a built-in pre-amp which adds gain to your signal. That’s controlled via the attack knob.

Size establishes the initial reverberation, while regen (you might call this decay) extends the decay and adds overtones. Turn both of these up and you’re into self-oscillation.

Size does a lot more than that, though. Remember that HAVOC switch? The HAVOC switch can create infinite holds, gradual swells, or instant collapse, all depending on what’s up with the size knob.

Guitar is a TunaTone Teeny Tuna

Amp is a Silvertone 1472
