Twin Stags is a dual tremolo by Dwarfcraft Devices!
Both tremolos are independent, and though they’re both sine waves, can go from warm pulses to ring-mod territory.
Each tremolo has three controls: rate, shape, and depth.
The top Tremolo is a faster LFO while the bottom is slower and more traditional.
A lot of the magic is in the “shape” knob, which can take you from those soft ramps to triangles to that crazy sawtooth and everything in between.
The depth knob is a little unique. At noon, there’s no effect.
Clockwise = increase to positive action of the control voltage. Counter-clockwise = negative voltage. Not 100% sure what that means, but I can hear the difference.
I start the demo with the 2MOD1 toggle up. That means tremolo 2 will modulate the rate of tremolo 1’s LFO.
When the toggle is down, the two are complete separate. Both are awesome.
This is seriously one of my favorite pedals of all time. Yes, it gets super weird if you want it to (it is a Dwarfcraft pedal, after all), but it can get so sweet and moody and is perfect for jazz and ambient music. If you can find one of these, DO NOT HESITATE. But it IMMEDIATELY.
Song is “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Prince.
Guitar is TunaTone Teeny Tuna
Amp is Silvertone 1472
