Welcome to get all set. My name is Emily and I’m here today with the dogman devices, air it’s the first foray into time-based effects for Lance Giles at Dogman devices. And it’s not just normal delay pedal. It also has an optional fuzz, which makes it. Even more exciting. So Lance did send me this as a loner to demo.

I’m not keeping it. So this isn’t really sponsored content. This is just me doing a favor for a friend. I really like everything I’ve experienced from dog man devices. Lance is a fellow Ohio and I’m from Ohio. And I just, I think what he’s doing, so I wanted to show, show off this show off this puddle.

I’m playing the signature Stratocaster, going to start at least start on the neck pickup. I might move into some other positions, striving, Iridium, round B, pretty much a flat tone response there. Everything’s turned up in the middle, including the gain in the room setting for that matter. So yeah, let’s, let’s, let’s play some music.

Hey.

switching pigs that should have won’t make a difference in the tone. All right. I have, Oh, look, control left. Right foot switches on or off left foot switch is optional. X is the next cloud is the fuzz, our glasses at the time. The loop is the repeats pretty. Ooh. And the pedal a little cooler than my finger.

I don’t know if you can see the little marks I’m making on it. My grubby hands. I like the color scheme. I like the purple knobs, but of course I would. All right.

yeah, it looks something up really quickly. I completely forgot to look something up. All right. I thought, I thought so. I thought that was an analog delay. I’m like that’s nice and warm.

that’s let’s see what what the time differences, like, let’s see what the shortest delay time.

Very short.

let’s see how long they get.

you can hear that rolly, that cliquey that I’ve only ever heard. I like that. If you don’t like that, I get it. I’ve only ever really heard that. Otherwise. When I play the delayed foster Wallace and use my hand to cover up the light sensor, it goes away.

I’m sure. It’s self oscillate. So let’s find out where

all right. All right. Yes, it’s getting, it’s checking off all the boxes for me so far. Let’s see how the mix, how, what the mix goes.

so it definitely doesn’t go full, but that’s totally fine. Over here is completely clean.

it calls out a very small amount of clean signal. And I don’t know if I would call that a small amount.

so the time does go from 60 milliseconds to up to up to 600.

Shall we try the fuzz?

So he does say this on the website, self oscillation is very, very easy with the FAS and basically turns it into a, how does he say what he say? Ah, the delay repeats as

well. The storm is engaged to labor pizza. Also acts like a feedback loop. Meaning that self oscillation is very easily achieved.

Do you make noise? Rock? Do you like noise? Do you just like things that sound bonkers? Absolutely bananas. The air pedal might be for you.

I like this. This is, this is inspiring me a little bit.

it reminds me of the book where , which is a reverb hall reverb. I believe it’s hall with an optional fuzz that you can put into the trail. So it’s a lot like this. But this is a delay.

definitely goes a long way. With this pedal. I like having the mix low and the fuzz really low switch that itty bitty little bit of crunch at the end.

I still get my crystal cleans. When I hit those notes initially,

Yeah.

exactly. One more. Repeat on that.

All right. So that is a quick look at Nassau that quick. Oh, the dog man air. This is one of those puddles that will really challenge you. But. It’s going to be really fulfilling when you figure it out. That’s that’s, that’s the take I have on it. Obviously you can go into just the infinite weirdness, which is so cool.

And that is like my number one thing. I want a pedal to be able to get weird. I want to pedal it as something that nothing else really does. And I don’t think the Allegheny thing really is really doing what the air is doing. And so yeah, just a couple of things from the website. Let me just read what Lance writes about this pedal.

The third installment in the elemental series after fire and earth is his first slide pedal based around the tried and true PT, two, three, nine, nine chip. He wanted to be able to do echos as well as long low-fi delays and self oscillation. Apparently the start as an idea for a tape age simulator and became a full on.

Fuzz circuiting even has germanium clipping diodes. So the range from the tape ranges from antique to ancient. So like this is it’s it’s, it’s a cool puddle. You can’t say it’s not cool if you do like noise stuff and it, you know, it’s a really nice delay, really nice sounding delay pedal on its own. And then if you want to then jump into the weirdness.

I can do that too. So yeah, it’s the air by dogman devices, I think is quite a handsome title. I’m sad that I’ll be I’m sorry, I don’t get to keep it, but Hey, you don’t get to keep, I don’t need more crap laying around here now. Oh gosh. I always say the wrong thing. It’s time for me to, to bounce. Well, thanks for watching.

Thanks for understanding until next time. My name is Emily goodbye.
