The Fender Mustang Bass is a mainstay for bassist who might be…smaller. The Fender Player Series Mustang PJ bass is just that, a short-scale bass with P-bass and Jazz bass pickups that give it a killer sound to go along with its feel.
I bought this bass to use in demos and in writing sessions with my band and I already love it. It has a great neck feel, both in terms of the satin finish and the neck shape. It seems well-enough constructed, and the balance is good.
I’m not sure how this compares with Squier Mustangs, but for $650 MSRP, this feels like a good deal.
