Keeley Caverns Demo and Review on Guitar

Hey, welcome to get off set. My name is Emily. I’m here with a special edition artwork of the Keeley caverns. It is a dual reverb and delay, and this one has a artwork that I think is especially beautiful. Um, I really need to stop touching the pedals after I, I framed them, but I, I can’t stop. Um, so I don’t know if this reverb kills fascists, but I’m hope.

[00:00:26] Hopefully it does. but you have a separate foot switch for both the reverb and the delay as you see. And each side comes with three settings. So this is the reverb side and it comes with shimmer spring or modulating reverb, the rate control. Mmm. The rate on the reverb side, it varies.

[00:00:51] Based on, um, the setting. So, uh, for the shimmer, it controls the feedback blend for spring. It controls the raid and for the modulator, it, uh, it controls the depth. Um, in the pre delay, the warmth is a kind of a tone of it’s dark to bright blend goes up to 50% between 50% and 0%. Um, I’m going to kind of leave it at 25 for a lot of the demo.

[00:01:21] And then we have the decay. Of the reverbs to kind of the length of the trails there. Now on the delays, we have three settings, kind of, we have no modulation that’s on the far left a little modulation on the far right. And a lot of modulation right in the middle. The rate controls the modulation. Uh, so it’s not always doing something.

[00:01:45] Time is time. Len goes up to 50% and repeats this sometimes called feedback on, on some delay pedals. But, uh, it’s really beautiful. I like it a lot. I used to have a little, um, little guitar track. I did, uh, the other day for I’m an Americana artists. So I’m really. Really feeling it. I think it’s a good little pedal.

[00:02:08] Um, I’m going to just do it on guitar today. I’m using my square paranormal series supersonic with a Lawler impure. Yeah, Ariel humbuckers, I’m probably going to split oils on that. Cause I just really liked the, a little bit of extra clarity with, with the reverb and the lay I think would be, would be helpful.

[00:02:28] Um, the amp is a Strymon Noridian striving Iridium around B. And without further ado, let’s get to it.

[00:04:02] Slow shimmer.

[00:04:31] What do you think you get the idea of that one?

[00:04:36] Let’s go back to the, let’s go to the spring now.

[00:05:49] So the spring I think is very subtle.

[00:06:05] I don’t know any surf music legs.

[00:06:24] Let’s go to the, um,

[00:06:39] we probably should have started on just the, the least amount of. Modulation

[00:08:07] so you get three very distinctive reverbs. Uh, that I can cover a lot of ground for you. I think, um, I really like, I think the modulator best, which surprises me, I didn’t, I didn’t think I would like the shiver the most and I don’t, so that doesn’t surprise me, but, uh, I kinda thought that that spring would do it for me, but I really liked that kind of modulated hall sound.

[00:08:47] Sometimes it’s funny. How do you say a place like fasted and slower? Let’s move to the delay starting with no modulation.

[00:08:59] So that’s a really slow speed and just one repeat. So let’s turn up the speed a little bit. Oh, that goes along.

[00:09:12] Is 30 milliseconds to 650 milliseconds.

[00:09:19] Nice.

[00:09:27] It’d be like in country.

[00:09:52] Okay, nice to have the repeats.

[00:10:01] Let’s see if we can get infinite.

[00:10:08] Yup. They got the whole range. I like that. Um, I respect it and I appreciate it. Let’s just quickly get into some of the modulation light and I have to turn up the rate. Of course.

[00:10:34] In terms of legislature can hear it better.

[00:10:57] 50% blend. That sounds like a lot.

[00:11:07] Let’s see the lots of modulation. Oh,

[00:11:18] it goes into meat mod territory.

[00:11:29] Let’s get it on the light and let’s combine it with the modulator dreverb.

[00:15:11] Oh, right. Well, that is the caverns by Keeley and it’s, it’s really, really a lovely pedal. There’s a lot of range there. It’s super versatile. And I really, I like there, I have a lot of dual reverb and delay pedals, and not all of them have independent blitz, which is like that. I really appreciate it when they have independent foot switches, it just makes my life easier.

[00:15:38] I always pretty much every verboten delay doesn’t work with everything I do. Cause sometimes like, can you like, can you just imagine.

[00:16:05] Yeah, it’s not conducive to every song that I play that just needs a little, something a little bit dryer. Um, but, uh, I really think this is a beautiful panel. I can see why it’s so popular. Um, full disclosure. I paid with my own money. I paid full price for it. So, uh, you know, that, that reaction is especially real, but I don’t tend to lie this on this channel.

[00:16:32] Um, yeah, if you think that those are good sounds check them out. I think the thing I have, that’s sure, probably most comparable. This is to the, uh, uh, quiet theory prelude, which I don’t even think he’s making those anymore. But it has still foot switches. Um, I, it just, it doesn’t have the different nodes has toggles for, for levels of warmth.

[00:16:53] Um, which I think is nice, but I just, I do like having that knob, even though it’s not the novel, you tend to find that total area that you like and you stick with it. Um, and I, yeah, I think this is a lovely pedal. Again, can see why it’s so popular and what people just seem to gush over it. Uh, highly recommend, but, um, thanks for watching.

[00:17:16] Thanks for understanding, please like comment, subscribe below. If you want to buy this, please check out the link in our video description to reverb.com. We get 1% cash back on anything you buy refurb.com through that link, it costs you zero extra dollars, but it does help the channel and its own. It’s own little way.
