[00:00:00] Emily: Welcome to get offset, my name is Emily and I’m here today with the Squire, contemporary Telecaster, something I purchased with my own money. Cause I thought it looked kind of cool. I thought that you might agree. This is the gun metal color. I actually got this awhile ago. And then. I’ve been taking it to, uh, my band Sunday crushes practices, and I just been having a lot of fun with it.
[00:00:30] It has some cool flourishes, including some binding on the sides there. You can see, I have my little tied up shirt, uh, some binding on the sides there and up the neck. That’s really neat. And you don’t see that on sub $500 guitars. This is a 4 49. Um, Vintage style tuners. It has these all contemporary ones have the Squire logo and it looks kind of emboss hard to photograph really good on video.
[00:01:01] Oh, and it has these a hum bucking SQR pick ups, including this, a bridge pickup. It looks kind of like a Seymour Duncan, hot rail kind of style guy. Um, so it’s got shrink through. It’s her body there and then a six saddle bridge, easy compensation. No, no push pull pots, nothing, nothing fancy with the wiring, but I’ve been really, really interested in like really enjoying the playability of this guitar.
[00:01:34] I don’t know this car was guitar. Uh, so I’m just going to go ahead and get into it. I’m going to start with a clean sounds, which I have found that. Really, really nice. I’m playing it through my tone master super reverb.
[00:02:03] That was a bridge. Let’s go to the.
[00:02:13] I taken that song out on my rotation. Cause people commented that I was playing the same songs too much. Now, apparently I forgot how to play it.
[00:02:23] Let’s go the neck.
[00:02:45] I think it has quite a bit of twitching. It’s a very, metally looking guitar, but I think it really twine.
[00:03:04] the one thing that’s really hard to convey in demos. Like this is like the responsiveness of pickups and you kind of don’t expect. It gets hard with an inexpensive guitars to have like responsive pickups. And I feel like this does, um,
[00:03:30] Oh,
[00:04:05] I realize I didn’t hit that riff on the middle of the neck.
[00:04:15] really jumbo for us.
[00:04:47] Nice show some compression.
[00:05:21] Uh,
[00:05:28] bridge
[00:05:38] some compression. Do my chicken second setting.
[00:06:29] Uh,
[00:07:41] Um, husbands and listened to a lot of buck Owens. So I’ve been trying to learn some of that, like Bakersfield ticky-tacky stuff to make them.
[00:08:02] Doing a great job of it.
[00:08:29] Um,
[00:08:48] I broke them on middle fingernail, not from giving the bird to anybody, but, uh, I didn’t grow in an ounce and now I’ve been trying to like, get that with my, with my hybrid picking. And if you keep missing it, oh, shucks.
[00:09:10] I’m trying to grab it there.
[00:09:22] Now the Dallas area with the Benson phys. Let’s get the impedance all the way down. Let’s get the gain all the way up for funsies.
[00:09:57] middle
[00:10:09] I’ll open it up.
[00:11:05] you got to put that in every demo now. Cause I think that makes people have
[00:11:16] And that’s also a great song to start your set with when your band starts at midnight, because it gets out the people, the, the, the, the geriatric millennials. Who were smoking outside after the last
[00:11:37] back in the bar.
[00:12:16] Let’s go ahead and get to the MTG LA that’s a Fender’s take on a rat or the high gain distortion sounds of the eighties. What are these look? The base was all the way up. It was that way in the last embarrassing. I didn’t notice that.
[00:14:30] obviously the neck pickup does not sound good for soloing right there.
[00:14:49] oh, maybe it just sounds better all the way up.
[00:15:01] I’ve come to terms with that. Now, maybe it did just sound better with everything else.
[00:15:36] obviously the last time I had this pedal on, I was playing worrier by scandal and. The solo and that’s just where I fell. Oh, well there you have that as a quick look at the contemporary Telecaster, uh, by Squire. If you are interested in getting this guitar, they do not seem to be on sale on the fender website presently, but I’m pretty sure you can find them on Sweetwater, perhaps reverse.
[00:16:02] Please check out the affiliate links and the video description. Uh, we do get a small kickback when you use those little. So it was a huge help for the show. Uh, it comes in a white, this is the gunmetal, and I believe a goal that’s quite handsome. That’s that was my first choice was the goal. But this is what I, this was what I could get.
[00:16:23] So I got this, but it’s shine. It actually has a, uh, a glitter to it. It’s a very subtle glitter. And then it has that. Uh, binding on the edge. It’s really nice. It’s actually quite a handsome guitar. It’s a very metal looking guitar, but it’s very versatile. And I really have been enjoying the way that this plays.
[00:16:41] It has a nice tummy contour on it, really comfortable guitar, a little, little, you know, it’s, it’s, it’s the one it’s a little heftier. It’s like what you’d expect from metallic acid. So not super duper lightweight, but yeah, I am enjoying this. A lot more than I thought I would. I had this in the contemporary Strat.
[00:17:03] I liked them both. They were really excellent guitars Squire, just kicking ass, frankly. Um, as one might expect with vendor these days. So I would say this is on par, if not slightly above, uh, the classic five series, people are gonna ask me definitely about the infinity series. Yup. So, uh, there, there you have it once again, I forgot to ask you to like comment, subscribe at the top of the video.
