Taking the Mission Engineering 529i Rechargeable Power Supply to the Park

No outlets? No problem. I’ve played so many gigs where there simply weren’t enough well-placed power supplies for the stage. Thankfully, Mission Engineering has the 529i rechargeable isolated power supply for those times you can’t find a plug. So, of course, I took it to the park with some earbuds and had a great night!

The Mission Engineering 529i has eight isolated ports: two 500mA and six 300mA. It also has an isolated 5V USB output can be used to charge mobile devices or other USB devices (I use mine to charge my wireless system between soundcheck and show. There’s also an included voltage doubler cable that allows two outputs to be used in series to power 18V pedals, which is pretty smart.

All 9V outputs include short circuit and over-current protection. LED indication displays input and output power active, charge state, and fault condition. That’s more helpful if it’s top-mounted, obviously, as are the soft-touch switches that allow you to turn off specific outputs.
