The SWF, aka Salt Water Fuzz, is an Mk3 Tonebender with AC125 transistors. It was made by our friends at Spruce Effects, and though it’s retired, it’s absolutely a killer testament to their skills.
I only had a few hours with this stunner before I had to hand it off to its rightful owner, Andrew, but I especially loved it for sustaining chords with the Surf knob way back.
The knobs interact heavily with each other, but the gist is:
- Swell = Volume
- Tide = Tone
- Surf = Amount of fuzz
