[00:00:00] Emily: Welcome to get offset. My name is Emily. Uh, I have officially cleared Seattle’s most recent heat wave. So it’s about, um, 60, 68 degrees and Seattle, which is nice because yesterday it was a hundred degrees. Um, but I’m doing this early in the morning. I don’t know why I’m telling you that. Maybe so I can sip the cold brew coffee.

[00:00:24] I made it not feel weird about it. Hm. All right, but, um, why are we here today? Because I bought something and also my, the singer, my band bought something as well. We both got new power supplies for our pedal boards. So Sunday crushes about to become a lot more powerful. All right. So I have two power supplies.

[00:00:47] I got the, a level 12 from fender. These are both from the offender engine room series. So, um, again, bought these with our own money. No, Products and this boy, um, I got a level eight Jenna from Sunday crush gods, a level 12. Uh, I’m going to do a little unboxing. All right. So the boxes are quite big. So I wanna pan over to the other, uh, camera really quickly with my knife.

[00:01:16] I always get, Ooh, so many compliments, so many compliments. So, uh, packaging it’s big. It’s a big, big packaging situation. Not quite sure why so big, because it’s a big power supply. All right. More tape there. Well tape, but not overly tape, always something I personally appreciate. Wow. All right. Does that look good?

[00:01:52] We have a little manual here. This is the eight. Cool. So why is it called age? 1, 2, 3, 4 5 6, 7, 8. So these are all D C currents and, um, the first six of those are 500. Uh, N a that should power. Um, any pedal it’ll power, uh, even the automaton series by chase bliss. Those are kind of power hogs. All right.

[00:02:30] So six, a nine volt DC, 500 million fixed isolated outputs to I’ll put status led. Red indicates current overload. That’s actually a really nice to have a selectable voltage outlet. So these other two, you can have them run 18, 12, or nine volt. Uh, I, the big reason I got this, I’m going to go back over to the other camera, grow up huddle off my wall here.

[00:03:05] I’m I’m, I’m deeply interested and having the surfy bear a real spring reverb on my bird. I’m a burb on my board and it’s a 12 volt in, so, uh, being able to use. This power supply would be pretty, pretty handy. Nice. It’s going to go back over to this camera. All right. So you switched those guys, a USB, a outlet for charging smart devices, new USBC outlet for charging smart devices.

[00:03:41] Uh, obviously that could be your phone. Um, one interesting thing for that would be. Uh, um, kind of, if you’re using any sort of mini, um, mini controller, I think that’s, that would work for that. Like if you’re using your iPad or something to control your, your mini controller, or if you are using an iPad or something similar, um, to keep charts in front of you, I know a lot of things.

[00:04:09] Do you use those? So that’s just one use case, a couple of use cases, um, that I can think of for, for that. Or you can just, uh, keep your phone charge. Hey, no judgments. All right. In the back we have the IEC power and light. And we have the accessory kit. So it tells you everything. We get, uh, we have 4 60, 24 inch, uh, cables, two 18 inch cables, two 12 educable that’s a lot of cables.

[00:04:42] That’s really nice. Um, and then we have the different barrel connectors and IEC power cable. That is two meters long, um, two meters, about six feet. So. About all you could ask for, um, should get you all the way there. All right. The safety information here is the engine room. There is Oop.

[00:05:17] Fantastic. This is the level eight. There we go. That’s a good angle. It feels robust of all the. You’d really have to get a nail in there to change that. So it’s not going to get bumped accidentally and he got a little fan for venting. Very nice. USBA and U S B C um, I guess you may also be charging, um, like a camera or recording device of some sort, um, All right.

[00:05:54] So this big old bag of cables, these are the rubber feet. I ignore those. I see. Okay. All right. So that is what that looks like. I’m going to pack up the bag there. I’ve been bad about speaking on the microphone. I apologize for that. I don’t think I’ll be able to overload any of these unless I plug in something that I’m not supposed to do.

[00:06:29] Daisy chained to the top of the tones together. All right. So you also have a little battery clip guy, which I might actually use.

[00:06:43] All right. Let’s see if the colors. All right. So you have reverse polarity on one of these. I’m assuming that’s what these would be.

[00:07:05] Little short guy. So all these are kind of normal. These are normal. This would work for, uh, a DOD style puddle, uh, which is something that I do have

[00:07:23] that then. So DOD puddles, it was kind of, it seemed to be a battle for the soul, the guitar pedals for awhile, more normal ones

[00:07:40] let’s see better. So there’s we already had the battery clip, the, um, yeah, that, that. These are kind of normal ones. All right. So it’s really interesting that they gave you these, uh, more unique adapters. And I think it’s really nice that they do that.

[00:08:11] I would have to look up to see which is which on those, all right. And then belong. This looked like a longer boys. So that’s, that’s what you get pretty, pretty nice little set up. On those nothing exciting. Uh, I did unbox the early bolt bolt and that had, um, different adapters for different regions of the world, which I thought was really cool.

[00:08:40] Um, this does not have that, but I mean, you can get those adapters at the airport. Let’s look at this you cable. All right. Yeah. That’s nice.

[00:08:59] Really standard. Cool. So I’m going to box this up. I’m going to get the other box and I’m going to show you what’s in the engine room 12, stay tuned. Cool. So I have the engine room level 12 let’s um, let’s cut it open. Hope. Jenna. Doesn’t mind. Obviously got a little puncture in there. I will say, um, that when FedEx delivered this, I actually filmed it the unboxing of the box itself because it looked like it had been rifled through and retaped.

[00:09:33] It came in really, really, really bad shape. That’s kind of not surprising. Uh, this package was also sitting in Fife, Washington for like five days. That’s not. Really normal. I had to do a trace on this to get them to move it and get it delivered to me. So not, not like super thrilled with FedEx. This is the same FedEx, uh, branch that through just hurled one of my, um, my pedals over, over a wall of my fence.

[00:10:03] Uh, so yeah, not surprised that there’s a little ding in the box. It probably happened and shit. I was actually surprised that there was anything in that box. Ultimately, I think they were like, oh, there’s no guitars in here. But yeah. Okay. Engine room, level 12 looks like mostly the same stuff. I’m just gonna go ahead and take everything out of the box.

[00:10:28] We have the engine room itself on a tape. I’m going to untape that over here.

[00:10:41] I got my retaped it by accident. Cool. Hmm. Smells weird.

[00:10:51] Good. That was a weird thing to say, but it does smell weird. All right. Got a little feet. Well, safety information. I E C cable and even bigger box of goodies. All right. So actually I bought, I bought a level eight and a level 12, and my singer bought a level 12. So I, um, am decked out. I’m going to just really quickly show you why I bought the level 12.

[00:11:23] Um, it’s because it has this Curtis, this end, it has a courtesy. Yeah. So, uh, I can put this on my normal board and my main board. And, um, I might have to put some risers on, on the, like, get it off the grounds, a flat board, which is kind of a problem, but. Uh, I can plug in my milkman, the amp, or I can plug in like the Seymour Duncan power stage or something else that requires, uh, like I wouldn’t have to run two IEC power cables to my board, uh, to power at.

[00:12:00] So yeah, you could park your amp through this guy too, if you really needed to. Or if you need just one extra, she has a little bit of extra power. Um, yeah. All right. I am going to see if putting this out a little bit of an angle will, um, it’s pretty bright. It’s pretty bright. All right. So there it is. You can see it.

[00:12:22] Engine room 12 inputs, this time 500 all the way across, and then two that you can control. Nine 12 or 18 volts USB. USB-C cool. And also gives you the voltage of those, which is nice. All right. Let’s look at the manual here. Yep. Same stuff. Just more of these.

[00:13:07] I see power out and N all right, so you get 6 24 inch cables you get, this is, I know it’s a bright light. Uh, you get four, 18 inch to 12 inch. You get the 2.5 to 2.1 barrel. You get the 2.5 to 2.1, reverse polarity. Yes, 3.5 millimeter to the barrel connector and you get the battery club and you get one of each of those.

[00:13:40] You also get an IEC male, female, Daisy chain cable, an extra, well, this is a two meter. Um, I see power cable and then four rubber feet. So we already talked about the rubber feet. I think the most interesting thing, and this will be that it comes with this guy and this guy

[00:14:13] decided plugs into their XL. And then, uh, that side will plug into a device like, um, a milkman, the amp, or see more Dunkin power stage in the frame. So I’m sorry that it was a little bit out of focus, but you can see boop.

[00:14:43] Powers, oops. Power is the power stage. So obviously that’s not a very long cable, frankly, that would be extremely awkward to have on a board like that, but they’ve included it. Nice thing. To include, um, for that to really get the most use out of this, you are going to need to go someplace like sinusoid makes some IC extenders.

[00:15:17] Um, you can go to, um, I don’t want to say Amazon, but basically any place that sells electronics, uh, we’ll sell different angles on these guys. Um, so. I say, kind of build your board the way that you want it to be built. And then from there you can, um, find exactly the right length of that. Like if you’re building your own patch cables, you’re, you’re, you’re not, you’re going to start with how you want everything to be configured.

[00:15:50] So this, I will probably throw away or just never use. Um, let’s see. This is probably going to be mounted. On the bottom of a board, go back over to this camera. So if it’s mounted below the board, I mean, that’s maybe mounted right above the amp, probably like this probably would be a sort of justified solution there.

[00:16:24] Um, But you’re going to want to find something that definitely works for you. And that may not particularly be it. So, um, yeah. Thanks. Thanks for thanks. Thanks fender for including that. Um, but yeah, I just want to be clear, don’t expect that that cable will necessarily work for your rig. They are not supremely expensive to buy.

[00:16:49] Um, so just shocked. Figure it out. I’ve really have a lot of faith in you that you’ll be able to do that. So, uh, yeah. Same bag of plugs do not use the green or red one unless you know what they are.

[00:17:11] I forget exactly. I know. I have pedals that you use them. I just would need to look it up. I want to say, I want to say ideal for. He uses the green one, but I’m not sure. I actually, I have a deal for I’ve rarely played it, but it works. I know it works. Uh, well, yeah, that’s all I have for you today. Friends.
