[00:00:00] Emily: Oh, wow. I’m live. Ha. How about that? So I’ve been told I’m live.
[00:00:22] I am here, here. I am.
[00:00:32] With the Nashville player plus Telecaster, and you can ask me anything you wanted to know about this puddle, playing it with the.
[00:00:42] Super reverb tone master
[00:01:40] cause notifications or some friends, some Franz,
[00:01:54] maybe get some sharing. Maybe I’ll share this link. Maybe that’s probably. Good marketing tactic. I’ve heard him for the people. It’s good to share these things. Good to share. Good to share. I don’t know. Suspicious. I’m suspicious of sharing. I got this a Nashville player plus, so this, uh, fender player plus national style Telecaster a few weeks ago.
[00:02:28] Really and have been enjoying it ever since I’m just on the bridge pickup right now. And it is fully quiet.
[00:03:08] anybody has any once things, they want to hear pedals. They want to hear through this. Oh yeah. This is the Sol Invictus. It is by hill dish designs. It’s a dual channel based on, uh, a sun preamp I’m on the beach channel right now, but it has this Asian. That is very
[00:04:11] yeah, I’m a fan. I’m a fan. And I really liked this. Uh, I think it’s technically called a pre-amp, but, uh, it’s basically their amplifier in a pedal. Um, yeah, I dig it. I recommend checking it out. I also have this new guy over here that I’m going to be demoing soon, but just to warn you of my, um, little 10 inch speakers on my super reverb, don’t like it very much.
[00:05:07] um, the new pickups and a Muff style fuzz. I do have a Muff style fuzz. I just have one right now. I’d have to dig it. I might grab it later. If it, I, I would have to, oh, I have a three little 14 right here. I can swap that in real quick. Real quick, later in the chat. If people want to hear things, they’re going to have to super chat me.
[00:05:43] Let’s get this guy on ground. Let me, let me pedals you that you training for all of you also. I sure hope so.
[00:06:05] That’s the three month 14. This is three Russian style, big Muff. So kind of that’s bypasses
[00:06:24] So right now I’m on the bridge. Split that view over, you can see a little better.
[00:06:37] You see it? Yeah.
[00:06:51] So this is a more traditional. Black Russian with just the tone in the middle for
[00:07:15] And move it to the neck.
[00:07:26] yeah, it has the black, Russian green and civil war. So they assessed the block.
[00:07:35] This is a grain
[00:07:49] it also has a tone bypass,
[00:07:55] gives it a more open kind of sound.
[00:08:22] what’s what called Ethan the three month 14.
[00:08:31] What, what.
[00:08:54] yeah, it’s by my buddy, Jesse from Rotech VSA Nashville. Use the code, get off set at shipping on his store. Rude tech. Uh, for a free ship. Get off set at shipping check. Good offset checkout for free shipping.
[00:09:28] also has this. Overdrive.
[00:10:21] all right. That was fun.
[00:10:27] Transistor drive. Um, do I have any transistor drive pedals? Probably.
[00:10:38] I don’t know. Uh, I could probably take some more specific requests than that I have, um, I have a lot of pedals. Some are quite kind of buried right now, going through a little bit of a reorg. Um, I, yeah, I, uh, w J B3. I know I got that. I just got pointing as hard that Costello back there. Yeah. I got the Keeley caviar.
[00:11:15] I’ll turn off the reverb. I also have, um, the hyper sleep and the space spiral up here. I was going to, um, maybe AB those. See if I should keep one and maybe get rid of the other. I’m not really, I’m not really sure if I should have both. And I have the reverb up high on nothing. Alright. I’m going to keep the sole Victor just cause I liked the drive sound on it so much.
[00:11:51] Oh my God. So embarrassing to plug in, unplug pedals in front of people. Kind of a funny thing about this, uh, these, these cables here. These are one of the things that was in a package the other day. When I, so a package while I was working, I saw fly over the fence. So I went out and was like, Hey, did you just throw a package over my fence?
[00:12:20] And the guy working said, no, I’m like, well, I just, man, I just watched you do it. Come on. And he’s like, well, it was, it was really light. It was like a, it was like a, like a letter I’m like, no, it wasn’t a letter to. It was a Wolf is broken. You can file for like, Jesus. You really just said that. Okay, I get it.
[00:12:43] You hate your job. We all hate our jobs sometimes. I’m sorry. I just, you know, work really hard to, for things and kind of stinks when sometimes things are treated poorly. Hey, sassy cat. Yeah, I’m just doing a quick little thing before dinner myself. All right. Do you, let’s go back to the split. Let’s move the Keeley caverns interview.
[00:13:20] I think I’m getting a little bit better at this thing.
[00:13:30] Let’s see. Let’s do. Let’s do the modulator reverb and I have the deep delay modulation on the delay.
[00:13:57] Yeah. That’s exactly what this pedal was made for.
[00:14:48] I’m on modulated. Let’s move to spring. Compare. I have the right way, had the rate way down to which probably wasn’t doing much.
[00:15:51] There’s a little galloping. And so my aunt
[00:15:59] y’all hear that
[00:16:04] tells them.
[00:16:25] you want to hear what I learned? Yeah.
[00:16:32] Do you, does anybody here is anybody listening on like non iPhone speaker and hear that like galloping,
[00:16:42] maybe if I turn on.
[00:17:12] That was weird. And then the, um, pedal turned off. Let’s do that one more time. Yeah. Oh, you all could hear that
[00:17:25] digital bleed. Yeah.
[00:17:33] Hey Steve, you gave me a solution. That’s new. That’s a.
[00:17:54] It’s a power conditioner, so that’s kind of a drag. So
[00:18:16] Oh, no. Okay. So all of the pedals are in, there’s only three of two of them. There’s two pedals. Both the pedals are plugged into the Loris thingy, the ATM. Maybe I’m not plugging it into enough power. So I’m going to plug it into the 308
[00:18:53] and try it again. Oh, you’re right.
[00:19:23] Whoops. Sorry guys.
[00:19:31] thanks. I have previously. I previously had it plugged into the correct amount of power. I silly swapped. And then, uh, I swapped the power supply things and, uh, I forgot that some were plugged into the 100. I thought they were both plugged into the 300 outs. My bad
[00:20:06] The sole Invictus stated more power. It’s a big boy. Look, his big is God, this is so sad and scared. This got big mean son
[00:20:33] All right. Who’s got questions about this ear guitar. Does anyone have questions about the Nashville tele Steve? I know Ryan loves his, his green boy. I know he, I know it wasn’t his first choice, but I’m glad. I’m glad he got the green I’ve personally. I’m really glad he got the green Strout. I wanted him to get the green Stripe.
[00:21:00] I was very scared when I heard ride from demos in the dark also got Nashville, tele I think this, this was a more popular choice than I expected, so, but I can understand why.
[00:21:22] Yeah. So national Telecasters were kind of pioneer or spearheaded slash pioneered by natural studio musicians who needed a little bit more versatility, um, with their playing. So they, it was, you know, country really loves Teles, but pop music really loves Stratocasters. So, uh, they got that. They added that middle, middle strap.
[00:21:50] Let’s hear how it sounds. No. Turn off. So, I mean, you weren’t really play a middle pickup by itself. So you got the bridge by itself. You had the middle,
[00:22:10] you got the middle by itself. Got the neck by itself.
[00:22:22] she says a little bit more mellowness to the bridge without adding as much as you would, if you were adding the next. So like, uh, here’s the, um, the bridge with the middle.
[00:22:38] Um, the bridge with the, versus the bridge with the neck
[00:22:46] bridge, with the neck bridge, with the metal. So just kind of, it’s not huge. It’s not like the biggest difference in the world. Not going to like blow your mind or anything, but it’s different enough, you know, it’s different enough to make it worth it to some people and, you know, They offered to send me a guitar.
[00:23:07] I already had normal, normal because standard tele and I asked for this, so
[00:23:20] we’ll turn up some, somebody we’re back on this guy.
[00:23:38] Um, so that’s the neck and the middle, uh, I mean, that’s the bridge in the middle. Here’s the neck and the middle. Here’s the neck and the bridge. I mean,
[00:23:54] very traditional.
[00:24:02] um, yeah, very different sound. I think that that is the biggest one. Hello, Hondo. How’s everybody doing? So Steve are you and Rick Ryan recording live again tonight?
[00:24:39] Um,
[00:25:21] oh, I love the super river.
[00:25:27] I, I actually, I really, really liked the super reverb. Um, it actually came in, it was a phenomenal, phenomenal, uh, timing. I had played a show, uh, days before it came in and, uh, My little champ X two, it stopped working. It just didn’t didn’t it had been working in practice literally two days before the show and it just didn’t work during the show.
[00:25:55] So I had to play, I had to play marsh for me.
[00:26:13] The blonde deluxe blonde is a very classic Telecaster. Look, I, you know, this spoke to me to tell you the absolute truth. I did not know I could pick blonde. There was a top row guitars, and I thought I had to pick from the top row. And I did not know at the time I could pick other colors.
[00:26:44] I mean, the, the champ might still be fixable though.
[00:26:52] Um, what other pedals do you all want to hear this through? Maybe the Beavis and Burkhead. Who, who, who wants it? If somebody super chats me $5, I will play the Beavis and Burkhead laptop. $5.
[00:27:15] Do it super rich. Steve, do it.
[00:27:20] We’ll play.
[00:27:49] I’m not going to play any Eric Clapton. Fuck that. Fuck that. No way. Why would I play in a yard club? Well, make sure you got no one air Clapton.
[00:28:04] I play some Patty Smyth. They’ll play some warrior. Um,
[00:28:45] haven’t quite figured that one.
[00:28:51] I actually would not even know if I was getting super chatted. I’m pretty sure I don’t get notifications about that on here.
[00:28:58] I’ll probably do it anyway, because I need to. Whatever,
[00:29:07] what other questions people have questions about this? Nobody commented about this, but I’ve measured the bridge pickup in this and it measured it like 13, 4, 5, nobody come into the pickups and this are really, really hot. Y’all don’t care. You don’t care. So hot, hot damn, too hot to him. Too hot for me.
[00:30:11] That’s that was very hot.
[00:30:35] yeah, that’s pretty high.
[00:30:39] I like did the video and didn’t think about it. And then he like took a nap. I woke up, I was like, good God, is that really what those measured? Holy moly. And, uh, I messaged Ryan. I’m like, did you measure your pickups? Cause I’m not sure mine. And he was like, holy crap. No, I did not. Maybe I will
[00:31:10] be this and Burkhead secrets.
[00:31:17] You know how like people who photograph food have secret ways to make the food look better? Well, there are secret secret ways to make guitar pedals look better under lights. Oh
[00:31:40] my God.
[00:31:44] There we go.
[00:31:51] Come on. Here we go. My brother likes to joke that when he was in, um, middle school or whatever, he had braces, he looked. Just like bud and I tend to agree.
[00:32:33] Hey, Joe.
[00:33:33] Let’s let’s, let’s give it to Joe for escaping her condo board meeting or whatever. Congratulations on escaping the board meeting, Joe.
[00:34:07] before you judge me for that riff. I did just learn it today.
[00:34:13] My lunch break, instead of beating, I learned the song I learned song.
[00:34:43] Yeah, this is supposed to be an AMA. So ask me questions about this puddle. I’m just gonna guitar.
[00:35:17] Are you going to ask me anything about me also?
[00:35:50] Hmm. Let’s which is a five way. No, I haven’t Marco. I have not already compared the space spiral to the hyper sleep. I may do that in a bit. I will do that faster. Someone, if someone encouraged me, I would do it faster.
[00:36:11] The national model, actually, Joe is specifically attributed to this middle pickup on the Telecaster, which was installed by national session players who were looking for more versatile sound. Uh, and you can hear that most clearly on the, uh, position. Uh, uh, so typically your humbugging sound is either going to be on a Telecaster when you add the.
[00:36:39] So this is a traditional next sound. When you add, uh, the bridge next sound
[00:36:48] But if you want to say more mellow or something different, this is what it would be with the middle.
[00:36:56] It’s more obvious without the distortion.
[00:37:04] So that’s the middle and this is the.
[00:37:11] Oh, that’s actually just, that was just the bridge, actually just at the bridge bridge and neck
[00:37:21] bridge and metal
[00:37:26] Marco. I don’t know. It’s in these puddles. They’re just modulated delays. That’s all I know.
[00:37:35] I bought, I got them both a long time ago. I’m not done playing with this yet, so
[00:38:01] Maybe I should be
[00:38:06] maybe I should be
[00:39:02] strats versus Teles Jazzmasters. I’ve played a lot more. Um,
[00:39:14] I’ve talked a lot. I played the, her signature Strat a lot more. This year in recordings and on demos. Uh, but just for fun, like I’ve played the tele deluxe a lot more. The push pull does add Jeff. The push pull adds the neck and the one and two positions. So in the one
[00:39:44] and this is the two.
[00:39:54] I’m not sure. Um, I would talk to Sean that guns street wiring potentially because traditionally with my Teles, if I do a mod, I do the four. Mods put the pickups and series instead of parallel. So in series and typically pickups, they, um, they run in parallel. So kind of at the same, in the same, at the same time.
[00:40:22] So that’s two cars going along the road the same time, um, in series, it’d be like one after the other. So it’s like a lot more power and strength. It’s like a pickup driving the other pickup. So.
[00:40:37] I don’t know. I don’t think that would be possible at all to do with these noiseless pickups, but I wonder if that would be possible to do with like a different set of pickups. So that would be quite the, um, the task. But as for anything that any mom I would do just for general playability, there’s nothing that I would want, like a Telecaster.
[00:40:58] I love putting a Bigsby on a Telecaster. Uh, I don’t think I would need to do with the. I have a tele player with a Bigsby. That’s my offset tele. So I don’t feel like a strong need to do that, particularly, you know, so I, I, you know, I don’t, I don’t feel strongly to do that. Um, and I kinda liked the pickups and this is as is, as is.
[00:41:24] Let’s see, my mother just texted me roll blings, erection. Great. Have you from Cincinnati, kind of know what that means.
[00:41:52] um, cloud trucker ladies are in the past. They are just in our dreams, in our hearts. Not on our guitars, none hundred guitars. They are not there. They are gone.
[00:42:12] They never should have been.
[00:43:20] Anybody else had any requests? A super chat me. I like super chats.
[00:43:32] I like it feels good. Feels good to give it a little token of appreciation. I got a couple of my Patriots here. Thank you for your support. My Patrion. Keep this party going, if you would like to become a Patrion supporter and thus get special access to the channel and me, you do that. patrion.com/should get offsets.
[00:44:02] I think that they would highly recommended Patrion supporters. Do you highly recommend it, Steve, from 60 cycle hum as a Patrion support?
[00:44:13] I don’t think that’s a secret. I want to Steve’s Patrion supporters, all a big happy Patrion sporting thing. I’m Billy.
[00:44:29] That’s a little dark, dark.
[00:44:38] Oh, this one is, as I say, difficult to photograph,
[00:44:45] why? My mother just, okay. You know what, sometimes you don’t ask questions sometimes you don’t ask questions. All right.
[00:45:02] That’s probably about as Steph. Close together. Act like you like each other. You both delay pedals.
[00:45:22] Oh, that’s a lot of feedback. All right, let’s get your mix. And then that all mixing the metal. Let’s get your depth round in the middle. Shit.
[00:45:53] one second, one second.
[00:46:02] Yeah, I forgot.
[00:46:09] I put the reverb in front of the delay pedal. This is going to be a lot of modulation y’all are going to judge me that I put the reverb in front. Are you
[00:46:21] Should I switch them? Yeah, actually the player plus till he does have a body contour. Yeah, it does. It’s nice. I like an arm cut often with the Teles too, but I don’t have that. Yeah. The electronic audio experiments say sell it really quickly. Hey Erin
[00:46:54] I messaged my husband.
[00:48:14] tele USA
[00:48:19] almost got into it. There was somebody for some stupid reason, or like there’s one American made Telecaster and I was like, Mexico is north America.
[00:48:33] Happy Hispanic heritage month.
[00:49:03] why is this? Probably remind me of the Goonies.
[00:49:09] I bought this poet.
[00:49:21] I really wanted this spice spiral and it came out, but I couldn’t afford it. And I got it for like a secret Santa.
[00:50:02] oh, Korean craftsmanship is phenomenal. Don’t trust people who don’t don’t trust people who tell you that not. Craftsmanship
[00:50:41] this is a woozy dream.
[00:51:36] no, one’s commenting on my song. Choice. It.
[00:52:59] Joe gets. Joe gets it.
[00:53:12] all right. Well, I got a five-ish more minutes. Yeah, it was all the rage. And you know what? That song is a banger. It has a baritone guitar in it. And Paul McCartney’s guitar player plays it.
[00:53:47] I hated that song. Aaron, I got, I got dinner ready. Like I put, uh, I put, I put something in the oven an hour ago. And it’s going to need, it’s going to need to come out. It’s just how it works. It just, how it works.
[00:54:18] Actually the reason I learned live in LA Vida loca is because, uh, my husband and I watched behind it was, there’s like a Revit revitalized behind the music on paramount plus. And we’ve been watching it and it was funny. It wasn’t funny, but it was like, it’s actually, it’s kind of funny. Cause like his attitude is so like very like almost Uber positive.
[00:54:44] It’s like, yeah, my life is so beautiful.
[00:55:08] Oh, my God, Aaron.
[00:55:18] it’s just fun for him. Pop songs from like a very long time ago. I think it’s fun. It’s Chris out a little bit, because just like it’s then kind of unexpected. Like I learned. Like I just, out of nowhere, it was just like, man, I, you know, I haven’t watched in a long time, Pete and Pete and I put it on TV.
[00:55:40] Cause my husband was having like, like once a month, my husband who’s has to have like a call and it’s like at eight o’clock at night time zones. And he actually hasn’t had one in a while and I said, I’m going to watch Pete and Pete. And, um, right before this call, Can you hear us
[00:56:09] um, and he actually comes in to the room where I’m watching it and just like stairs. And he’s like, what is this? What are you watching? What do you want? Cause he heard the music remembered. It remembered it was something that like hit him and his childhood. And I was like, can you, can you just wait, I don’t, I don’t want you to watch this without me.
[00:56:26] And I was like, okay, all right. Cool. I will watch it without you. And then my band. We learned it. And, uh, and we were playing last at a show and we decided to play the theme song for Pete and Pete first to bring in people who would like gone out to smoke or whatever. So we just go.
[00:57:14] and people came in and they were like, ah, I’ve worked. It worked. And afterwards we wheeled pay. It was fucking great either. I haven’t listened to slow dive in a very long time, but yeah, it looks slow dive. So that, that really worked, you know, nostalgia, you stop this algebra, you know, it’s fun. It’s fun to like, remember the stuff that really like hit, hit.
[00:57:34] Oh, I’ll fix this thing into my plan of inside out. And, um, yeah. And that’s the reason like you have six is big again, but I gotta bounce friends. Uh, thank you so much for joining me. Uh, if you want to support some Patrion as patrion.com, so I should get offset. We have merchant. Get us@petcoatgetoffsetpodcast.com slash shop.
[00:57:56] You got a couple minutes. Hit me a couple bucks. If you want to do that in super chaff. Nah, that’s cool. I get it. Um, if you have favorite pedal builders and you want me to demo their stuff or any gear builders, let them tell them. That’s cool. That’s cool too. If not just like comment, subscribe, uh, tell people at the channel that’s a great way to support us.
[00:58:16] Listen to the podcast rate reviewed on iTunes, that kind of shit. And otherwise, you know, I just really appreciate you hanging out with me for an hour to talk dirty stuff about a guitar. Have a great night, everybody, uh, really appreciate this. Um, stay safe. Thanks for watching. Thanks for understanding until next time.
[00:58:36] My name is Emily goodbye.
