Every once in awhile, the guitar internet goes wild over a certain delay pedal that often goes on sale for a remarkable rate. We’re in the midst of one of those times.
The pedal is the Rubberneck by DOD, and it’s packed with features including modulated delay trails with their own controls, a time stretching feature (the rubber in Rubberneck) with its own controls, tap tempo, regen hold and controls, controls for tone AND gain, and an FX loop that’s entirely too much fun.
It’s an absolutely bananas pedal that, IMO, is well worth the $120 you can currently find it for. It’s honestly probably worth at least twice that.
The first part of the video is just the Rubberneck, but then I add a few fun friends to the FX loop with links to their original demos on this channel:
- Dwarfcraft Grazer (6:08)
- Bookworm Effects Seths Fuzz (12:41)
- BOSS MD-200 (18:38)
Guitar is Fender Jazzmaster
Amp is Strymon Iridium (round, b)
