The Expression Tremolo is the newest in Ernie Ball’s line of unique, expression-pedal-driven guitar pedals. Unlike their previous overdrive and delay, you can select which elements of the pedal you want to be controlled by the expression sweep: rate, depth, or both!
You can set either a consistent rate or depth with the knob, or you can use the knob to set the maximum you want the depth or rate to be when you complete the sweep of the expression pedal into the toe-down position.
The rate is especially expressive — it can go from slow and subtle to as fast and choppy as you’d ever want a tremolo to be. You won’t be left wishing this pedal got weirder.
The pedal also feature 5 tremolo modes:
- Slow rise
- Slow fall
- Sine
- Square
- Harmonic
As a bonus, the pedal also has a SUPER drippy spring reverb. Yay, bonus reverb!
