[00:00:00] Emily: All right.
[00:00:06] Welcome to get offset. My name is Emily, and I’m going to spend some time today with some Silvertone guitars. I hope you can see it real nice. Could be Bravo, probably a little bit higher up on my body. I’m going to run it through the streaming Iridium, put it through some paces. Uh, there are a couple up here, so this is just the first one I’m going to check out, but uh, hope you enjoy it.
[00:00:26] I’m going to do minimal talking because. Uh, it’s an awkward, awkward, awkward setup. All right. Hope you
[00:01:39] Mm.
[00:02:13] All right. So that was a pretty clean, uh, fender type sound. Uh, I’m going to add some gain to this. Uh, just, just for the tone tone, uh, understanding. I pretty much have all the controls. Uh, close to the middle. I might turn off the tr turn up the trouble a little bit. The neck pickup is, uh, it’s not, not super bright, but you get some good Twain from that bridge there where you want it.
[00:02:38] So I’m going to crank the gain and see how it sounds.
[00:03:52] Um, um,
[00:04:07] yeah.
[00:04:20] Okay.
[00:05:45] Awesome. Well, I want to see how this sounds on the Vox with just the gain cranked and I’m going to do the Marshall with the gain cranked. I feel like this thing probably wants, uh, some dirt thrown at it, and then I’m going to mess with the vibrato. So as soon as basically a Bigsby let’s, uh, let’s just have some fun it’s summer Nam and it’s very weird and empty here.
[00:06:07] All right.
[00:07:30] All right now, I’m going to go with the Marshall sound.
[00:09:35] something about being out here has made me forget every refine now. Um, but let me just get some final thoughts on this one and put it, put it back. Uh it’s it’s I forget the exact price point, but these are going to be quite affordable. Uh, they don’t, I don’t feel like the tone does a lot. The Bigsby is really a nice touch.
[00:09:52] Uh, the weight is really, really manageable. The look is cool as hell. Um, the build quality feels pretty good. The neck is really modern. The threats feel nice. They’re tall ish. Uh, not over tall. It’s got, let’s see a nurse 17. 1920 fret. So a little bit, a little bit short, but probably pretty, pretty vintage.
[00:10:14] Okay. So yeah, that’s, that’s this boy. It’s like a Bobcat looking gang. Uh, I’m gonna, I’m gonna keep in investigating these here gets Harz. Uh, please stick with me. So this is beautiful sparkly and weighs next to nothing. It has a. Bound fretboard and just a painted, painted back of the neck pain panel. Head suck.
[00:10:41] This is gorgeous for what it is, has lots of knobs, a little toggle switch there to switch between pickups and then tone control. Volume a blender control, which I will try to have some fun with, or I’m not entirely sure what it is. I’m going to start on the base pickup on a fender clean sound. So let’s, let’s take a listen.
[00:13:13] Well, that’s a sound you’re either going to love or hate their Duncan design pickups. I’m going to make a quick adjustment. I’m going to up the gain on this, uh, here guitar and see how these pickups handle, handle some dirt. All right. Stick with me. Cool. So if you’re wondering how long a nine volt lasts in a stream Iridium it’s about eight.
[00:13:36] I have a pattern of power thing. So I’m going to hope I’m going to get moving real fast. All right. Uh, yeah, so I got the gain crank and, uh, can I have a little bit of fun? These pickups will seem particularly powerful. Uh, the blood knob is weird. Uh, I’ll talk about all that later. I’m just going to go between the base or the rhythm pickup and the trebles lead pick up and, uh, then I’ll fuck around with the, uh, blood novel a little bit.
[00:17:25] all right. Well, that was this on the Marshall sound that blend knob is really, really odd and kind of cool. I would worry that you would lose your settings. So if you do have one of these, you might want to invest in some gaps. And dial-in and Pape it down. That’s what I would do. I think it was really fun.
[00:17:44] I could play this guitar all night and weighs nothing, just like those old silver tone, uh, guitars that we knew and loved. Uh, there were Sears catalog guitars, so pretty great. Pretty excited about this. Um, I think I’m, I got time for one more. So stay tuned. All right. So this is the last one I’ll get to today.
[00:18:03] It has these old lipstick style. Again. Nice. Beautiful. Uh, not a bound fretboard. This one’s a little bit heavier than the other one, but still quite a comfortable weight. It has tat stacked volume and tone knobs and the standard selector switch. I will say the strap button on this really tricky and I don’t love it.
[00:18:23] Um, might be a good candidate for. Tuner. So let’s just, uh, get to the fender, clean sound.
[00:19:03] all right. So that volume mob appears to be basically offer on. Let me turn the tone up.
[00:19:11] Don’t love that. I wonder if it’s the same for the bridge. Yeah. That’s interesting. All right. Uh, just going to keep trucking, I’m going to move to the middle position. I started in the neck as I usually do.
[00:20:18] all right now, I’m going to add that high gain. Marshall sound. All right. Are you ready for it? I hope so. Cause I’m running out of time.
[00:21:36] all right. I like the pickups in this one. The most, to be honest, I feel like it had the most oats and chutzpah, uh, altogether. I think the line, I forget the price is I’ll look them up. I’ll put them in the videos. Uh, I’m, I believe they’re quite affordable, but they’re just going to be really fun. Early guitars for people I think are banging around guitars.
[00:21:55] They could just throw in the, the back and the trunk of your car and not really worry about. Uh, I mean, it’s not like the highest quality parts, but they all feel really well-made, they’re all lightweight. They’re all, you know, relatively ergonomic. I don’t like the strap button placement on this one. I didn’t like the pickups as much in that beautiful, lightweight sparkly one.
[00:22:16] Um, but I think that like, these are a guitar I could be really happy with on a personal level. Uh, so thanks for watching. Thanks for understanding until next time. My name is Emily goodbye.
