[00:00:00] Emily: Welcome to get offset. My name is Emily and I’m here today with the route at tech ain’t afraid cancer fighting phys. It is a one knob fuzz. And if you subscribe to the YouTube channel, if you subscribe to the show that you’re watching this on head hands, uh, you probably saw that I did a few live videos, left soldering videos.
[00:00:22] Uh, where I put this thing together and I’m going to be honest. I messed it up real good. The first time, uh, basically I, uh, inverted, uh, the input Jack, uh, Connections. So it didn’t work. And if you watched the live video and then you might’ve seen the short where I got to work, and now I’m doing a demo, this is by rude tech.
[00:00:45] I bought this kit, uh, through their website, root tech.com. I highly recommend picking it up. If you’re curious about building your own pedals, it’s a one knob fuzz. Jessie has, uh, the builder’s name is Jesse. He has a video, uh, assemble. So it’s actually a pretty easy, it’s a really good video. He teaches at, uh, he teaches a soldering and pedal assembly class every year, every summer, probably a couple of times at the yeah.
[00:01:13] Rock camp and middle Tennessee, which is a great organization. Uh, but if when you buy one of these from him there, he can afford to donate another one to yeah. Rock camp to teach the children. How to solder and civil their own pedals. It’s really, really cool. Um, this reference to the, um, late Jesse’s as you, and, uh, she was part of a band called those darlin’s, uh, when I was in Nashville, they were.
[00:01:42] Really popular and huge. And she, uh, had cancer and passed away several years ago, but, uh, 10% of the revenue from these pedals goes to, uh, Jesse Jesse’s, um, 5 0 5 0 3 C charity, uh, that does work with the youth in music. And of course, when you buy the kit, Jesse gets to know Nate. Um, so shoot. Yeah. That’s enough talking about that.
[00:02:13] I will be too sad if I continue to talk about that. Let’s talk about the fuzz. It’s the one note fuzz based on the two in 3, 9, 0 4, transistor. Sure. That sounds like a thing. Modern clipping diodes to add grit and versatility. Designed to break up on pick attack on single coil pickups goes crazy on humbuckers.
[00:02:34] I’m only going to play it through a single coils today as my, her signature Stratocaster going through my Stripe or radium round B strapped by rocket straps.
[00:02:50] And, uh, that was my clean tone. Let’s get started.
[00:03:45] yeah.
[00:03:52] that’s a lot of, some volume on
[00:04:13] that was obviously all on the neck pickup. Uh, let’s switch to this pickup. I’m going to turn it up just a little bit so I can personally hear it better.
[00:04:51] you love it when you just mess you just miss the note. Position
[00:05:29] This is a two position
[00:06:18] I stand on that one.
[00:07:35] you know what, actually, I will play this with hum buckers. I am magically going to transform into a guitar with a hump. Ooh, hope that worked. It probably didn’t. Alright. This is my Ventura series road, warn Telecaster.
[00:08:24] I would say that. Crazy on humbuckers metal.
[00:08:58] such confidence. The wrong notes with confidence, the confidence I’m not good.
[00:09:18] often that’s the confidence. I strive to have in my life now, bridge
[00:09:57] turn down the volume and let that really kind of sound like an overdraft.
[00:11:28] all right. Yes, it does scream on humbuckers. Uh, I’m going to snap my fingers again and turn to a baby. Again, I hope that worked. That’d be very funny if it didn’t. All right. Now we have my bait.
[00:11:49] It’s a, the player series Mustang bass by thunder. Okay.
[00:14:09] all right. Well, uh, there you have it. I think I prefer it on guitar, but you can play it on base apparently. Uh, I would imagine it sounds better on base if you’re a better basis. So keep that in mind. Um, but again, Ruth tech phys, uh, great. Cause uh, it only took me, it took me two hours to put it together.
[00:14:28] That included, uh, my time going back D soldering and re soldering, uh, the input Jack. So, um, I mean, I’m okay at soldering it, so I bet you could put together in an hour if you’re fast. If you’re, if you can actually read your little transistors a little bit better. And, uh, I had to go through the video with Jesse to understand how to do a couple of things.
[00:14:53] Um, but I think it sounds really great. I’m really proud of myself for putting it together. It’s the first time I’ve put together a pedal in a long time, and it’s the first time in a long time. I’ve like soldered something like electronics, uh, and it didn’t work the first time. So it was a very humbling.
[00:15:09] Truly humbling experience to plug that in, uh, during a live stream. And if you’ve ever thought that, like you want to feel really, really more stressed out about soldering, uh, than you already felt. I highly suggest soldering during a live stream where people are watching and talking at you. So, yes, uh, rude tech affects eight afraid FAS 130 bucks assembled like 75 ish for the kit.
[00:15:37] And that that about works out. I think the kids a great deal and goes to a great cause. So please, please, please, uh, check this out on the Rood tech website. If you’d like to buy anything else you’ve seen in this video, or just in general on reverb or sweet water, please use our affiliate links and the video description.
[00:15:54] It helps out tremendously, um, like comment subscribe below. All that jazz. Uh, thanks for watching. Thanks for understanding until next time. My name is Emily goodbye.
